A couple of years ago, the Japanese automaker revealed the full-size Titan pickup at the Detroit Auto Show. Since then, a lot of things have changed in the industry. The pickup class is now one of the most exciting segments, with new additions, concepts, and potential released. Perhaps it is time for the Yokohama-based carmaker to deliver powerful pickup of their own. Maybe it might come as 2021 Nissan Titan Warrior.
However, back then, we had a chance to see a concept version, which, to be honest, looks like one of Ford’s F-Series pickups. So, the company decided to go with another concept, with a more appealing exterior design. Nissan describes that look as “adventure-ready, desert racing-inspired design.” Now, let’s dig in and find out what we know so far about Nissan’s full-size pickup Warrior concept.

Nissan Titan Warrior Concept Design Changes
When Nissan Titan Warrior goes into production, it will deliver significant changes of the exterior design, in comparison to the 2016 concept. We can expect a unique look for the truck with some exclusive features. The leaked concept rendering shows a roof-mounted low-profile LED off-road lights, six per each side. Also, a new spoiler will be integrated into the back of the cabin. The remodeled hood adds functional air vents that flow into the all-black grille.
Furthermore, the LED headlights will have an interlocking C shape. Id addition, the broader fenders will have gloss-black flares, which combine side-marker lights. As a unique feature that will establish a more distinctive look, Warrior will add orange accents and matte-silver elements on the lower body. The front side is highlighted with custom lower fascia with a skid plate, while the back carries the redesigned tailgate, which features a large black trim panel.
Moreover, the remodeled rear bumper will incorporate quad exhaust outlets. The cabin will suffer significant changes as well. As we can see from the photos, the black-cloth-and-leather seats with orange accents will be available. Also, machined-aluminum steering-wheel spokes, extra toggle switches, auxiliary gauges above the dash, and a center console with Heated/cooled cupholder will be included.

Dimensions, Engine, and Release Date
Similar to the Ford Raptor, Nissan Titan Warrior concept is optimized for off-road adventures. Therefore, the design language will follow that path and deliver more rugged styling. The same case is with the overall dimensions of the future truck. The warrior concept is almost 3 inches taller than the standard Titan XD. Also, it will be 6 inches wider.
Moreover, the flared fenders will be able to accommodate large, 37-inch off-road tires, on 18-by 9.5-inch custom wheels. Under the hood of Nissan Warrior will probably be the 5.0-liter turbo diesel V6 Cummins engine for the XD model. However, the Warrior could get a new, ling-travel suspension, with hydraulic pressurized bump stops.
Besides, the front suspension will use new, sturdy ball joints, tie-rod extensions, as well as the internal-bypass reservoir. At the moment, the Warrior is still in the concept phase. Still, it is the most impressive Titan model we see so far. So, we think that we spoke for many when we said that it would be awesome if Nissan follows Ford one more time, and put off-road-inspired Warrior into production.
