The upcoming 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro will formally debut a hybrid powertrain in the following months. Naturally, this isn’t the only improvement. It is, however, the most important. The first teaser photo hints at the addition of a new tailgate to this amazing off-road pickup truck.
There will be numerous updates because the next-gen Tacoma is coming. This incorporates updated styling, refreshed interior, and much more. The TRD Pro is quite capable trim level, known for its impressive off-road ability. Moreover, Toyota will reportedly deliver further mechanical upgrades, which will make Tacoma TRD Pro even more capable.
Specs
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro with a hybrid drivetrain is the biggest news so far. It is a well-known iForce Max configuration that combines a traditional combustion engine with an electric motor. The iForce Max logo is visible on one of the teaser images. The more powerful iForce Max variant can produce about 340 horsepower.
Regular engine options for the Tacoma pickup will still be available. The present engine lineup is most likely to stay, but the addition of the hybrid powertrain is significant. Like the Tundra TRD Pro Hybrid, the Tacoma TRD Pro Hybrid will also largely benefit from this powerplant. Reportedly, it will generate roughly 435 horses. For a mid-size pickup truck, that is a lot of power. Furthermore, we expect to see an increased level of torque and improved fuel economy ratings.
Teaser Photo
According to the first teaser images, the new 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Hybrid will see significant styling upgrades. Toyota has only so far released one teaser picture. A redesigned tailgate and new taillights are shown in the picture. It appears that the back bumper is also new. More than ever, the maker will pay close attention to the back end. Unsurprisingly, the rear part resembles the Toyota Tundra’s bigger back end. This implies that a lot of stuff will still be shared between the two trucks.
Front fascia will probably follow the same path, with lots of improvements. The TRD Pro version of the Tacoma will include additional ground clearance, more off-road equipment, new exterior colors, and more standard features in general. Toyota will use stronger suspension, new Fox shocks, and new brakes. Toyota TRD Pro will be more capable than ever thanks to improved approach/departure angles, but we expect to hear even more about the truck’s upgrades in the coming weeks.
2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Hybrid Price and Release Date
The price of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Hybrid will start at around $50,000 or probably slightly above that. This is not official yet, but expect small price increase, even for the regular TRD Pro model. With new powertrain, new colors, and numerous visual, interior, and mechanical upgrades, next model will be the best one yet. No doubt about it.
