The next 2024 Mitsubishi L200 is ready for additional upgrades. First spy photos are already here, so we have more details about this new truck. Reportedly, the spied prototype is the production model, which is somewhat surprising. New L200/Triton model will gain lots of visual upgrades and it will wear the same styling as the Outlander SUV.
On the other hand, Mitsubishi didn’t say that much about this new model. Many reports are saying that the diesel engine will be in use in some parts of the world. The L200 model will borrow lots of things from Nissan Navara and even a plug-in hybrid powertrain could join the lineup.
Mitsubishi L200 Spy Shots
The upcoming 2024 Mitsubishi L200 has been spied on for the first time. From what we saw, the new L200 will get a completely refreshed front fascia, matching the design of the brand’s new SUVs. The new L200 truck appears to follow Mitsubishi’s existing front-end design philosophy. It has the most recent large grille, which is surrounded by turn signals and daytime running lights (DRLs).
Overall, the appearance is far more appealing than it was before, and we particularly enjoy the new headlamps that are divided by chrome accents. The current Pajero Sport, Outlander, and Eclipse Cross models all have the same appearance. And while the L200 model will borrow a lot of stuff from the Nissan Navara truck, we can definitely feel the vibe of the Mitsubishi Outlander SUV.

Interior Improvements
According to the information we have, the interior of the 2024 Mitsubishi L200 will be entirely redesigned. On the other hand, spy photos didn’t provide interior upgrades, unfortunately. The seating arrangement will remain the same, thus up to five travelers should have ample room. What we know for sure is that the manufacturer will introduce the latest infotainment system.
Additionally, an onboard Wi-Fi connection and new phone integrations should come as standard. Of course, Mitsu will focus on technology, so we also anticipate more standard features and new optional safety aids. The cabin design will probably change, so we hope to see a new dashboard and a new steering wheel.

Will L200 Truck Get Hybrid Powertrain?
While most of the trucks are now getting some sort of hybrid power, the new 2024 Mitsubishi L200 will continue to offer traditional combustion engines. Of course, there is hope, as some reports are predicting a new plug-in hybrid powertrain as an option. The L200/Triton model is available across the whole globe. Therefore, each part of the world will get L200 with a different powertrain option. The lineup includes gasoline and diesel at the moment. From what we know, Mitsubishi will continue to offer the same engines as before.
However, the rumored plug-in hybrid is a very interesting speculation. Per reports, this system will combine a 2.4-liter engine with a pair of electric motors. The same setup can be found in the Outlander SUV. It produces 221 horsepower and it also provides 24 miles of fully electric driving range. We don’t know if the L200 truck will introduce larger batteries or provide more power than the Outlander model.
