The next 2024 Jeep Gladiator will gain a couple of important upgrades. For a start, Jeep already announced an electrified variant of the Gladiator mid-size pickup truck. Shortly after that, we saw the first spy shots of the 2024 Gladiator prototype. The electrified model will slightly depart from the regular Gladiator in terms of design.
On the other hand, the interior should be about the same. Again, some things will be borrowed from the Jeep Wrangler SUV. The two models have so much in common and Jeep will continue with this tradition in the future. While we are waiting for an official announcement, here’s everything you need to know about the new Gladiator truck.
Mid-Cycle Facelift, Colors
Visually, we don’t expect major upgrades on the upcoming 2024 Jeep Gladiator. It is still a relatively new model, so a mid-cycle facelift would be a surprise here. Most likely, the manufacturer will provide minor cosmetic updates. The current Gladiator introduced new exterior colors, including the High Velocity, which is a bright yellow exterior paint.
Of course, Gladiator also offers more subtle colors, including Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, Bright White, Black, and Hydro Blue. The next Gladiator could get one or two all-new colors, although this is just a rumor at the moment. Cosmetically, Gladiator could gain slightly refreshed front fascia or new exterior equipment, but that’s about it.
Interior Updates
Interior design is no different. The 2024 Jeep Gladiator will gain small updates, including updated infotainment and new driver-assistance aids. This pickup only comes with a crew cab configuration and has one of the largest cabins in the market. Both rows have plenty of room and can comfortably fit adults.
This interior has a lot of space and the level of comfort is high. The materials quality is also rather high, and the dashboard has a nice aesthetic appeal. The 8.4-inch touchscreen also adds to the dash’s aesthetic appeal, and we really appreciate how simple it is to use. While interior changes are minor, Gladiator luckily has so many trim levels to offer.
Jeep Gladiator 4xe Specs
As we said, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator will be electrified. However, Jeep didn’t reveal if the new model will be an EV or a hybrid. Naturally, if Gladiator continues to follow the Wrangler SUV, then a hybrid powertrain is the logical outcome. Yes, we are talking about the Gladiator 4xe variant. Right now, Wrangler 4xe offers two electric motors, paired with a turbo-four engine and TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission.
This output delivers 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Jeep could improve the hybrid powertrain for the needs of a mid-size pickup truck. As for the traditional combustion engine, Gladiator should continue to offer current gasoline and diesel engine options.
2024 Jeep Gladiator Price and Release Date
The base 2024 Jeep Gladiator will start at $40,000, while the hybrid model will cost more than that. With minor updates on the way, providing an electrified powertrain is the highlight of the 2024MY. The sales will begin in the later stages of 2023.
