The all-new 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD is on the way, delivering numerous upgrades. This heavy-duty truck will gain a new design, followed by various interior updates. On top of that, changes under the hood are also likely.
Instead of providing a new engine option, Chevrolet will tweak the existing engine lineup, which means the next model will be the most powerful Silverado 3500HD ever. With so many updates, the price will likely increase, but not significantly. The sales will begin in the latter stages of 2023 and here is everything you need to know.
New Design
The next 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD will have a new exterior design. New batch of spy photos has allowed us to have a more detailed understanding of the most recent cosmetic upgrades. The majority of the changes will be made upfront, which includes a revised grille and headlights. New front and rear bumpers are also in the works.
Like the front section, the back of the truck will probably gain new taillights with new graphics. Although it has been proposed that the suspension, particularly in the back, could be tweaked to improve ride comfort, it is highly unlikely that the mechanical design of the truck will change. The heavy-duty model will provide lots of passenger room, numerous cab configurations, and a room for five persons.
In terms of updates, the interior will now wear a new design of the dashboard and center console. Moreover, Chevrolet will provide an updated instrument cluster and new driver-assistance aids. And while the level of comfort will be higher than before, new upholstery and interior color schemes will be available in certain trim levels exclusively.
Chevy Silverado 3500HD Will Produce More Power
The next-gen 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD will arrive with the same engine lineup as the outgoing model. Therefore, a 6.6-liter V8 gas engine will be standard once again. This unit is capable of producing 400 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission will be on offer. Optionally, there is a 6.6-liter V8 diesel engine.
Diesel is a better option, as it delivers 910 lb-ft of torque and 450 horsepower. Whatsoever, improvements are likely, so the next model will produce up to 1,100 lb-ft of torque and around 500 horsepower. Thanks to that, Silverado 3500HD will offer even better-towing capacity.
2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD Price, Release Date
The price of the forthcoming 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD will start at $40,000, per reports. The price could go up, but it won’t be a dramatic increase. As before, Silverado HD will continue to rival Ford Super Duty and Ram HD trucks. The sales will begin at some point in the second half of 2023.
