The first all-electric version of the Ram 1500 half-ton truck will be made in the following year. The new 2023 Ram 1500 EV hasn’t been released yet, so we’re waiting to hear more about it before it makes an official debut. According to Ram, the EV model will be able to drive 500 miles and tow more than 10,000 pounds, as well as have a standard body-on-frame design and AWD system.
Other promises made in the early stages include rapid charging of up to 150 kWh and a high level of autonomous driving. While the electric Ram 1500 will come out after the Ford F-150 Lightning and, most likely, the Chevrolet Silverado EV, it may be able to take advantage of any mistakes made by its competitors.
Ram 1500 EV Specs
Ram has said that the 2023 Ram 1500 EV will have a range of up to 500 miles. We don’t know how big the battery is or how long it takes to charge. A current range estimate for the F-150 Lightning says that the Ram 1500 EV can go 200 miles farther than that. The approaching pickup truck is thought to be able to charge at a rate of up to 150 kWh per hour with a DC fast charger.
The manufacturer didn’t give any specific information about the Ram 1500 EV’s maximum towing capacity, and it didn’t talk about its cargo capacity at all. As for its all-electric pickup truck, the company says it can tow more than other electric cars. The F-150 Lightning has a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, but the Ram should be able to do better than that.

Exterior Design
The 2023 Ram 1500 EV isn’t going to look like it does right now. Like the F-150 Lightning, the Ram 1500 EV version is sure to have a lot of new things. On top of that, things like the closed grille and the cleaner design are almost certain to happen, too.
No doubt, the style will change, so we expect a lot of new things. On the other hand, all we can do right now is guess until Ram shows us the real design. Finally, the Ram wheel provides more aggressive wheels and chunkier tires, although we expect to see a couple of different variants.

Interior Features
The new 2023 Ram 1500 EV will be taller than the base Ram 1500 pickup truck. In addition to having more high-quality materials, the cabin will have a more simple design. On top of that, we expect to see a much bigger touchscreen option. A 12-inch Uconnect screen is optional right now, but it’s very useful. Generally, the goal is to modernize the cabin and we should also expect a higher level of comfort.

2023 Ram 1500 EV Could Cost Around $50k
People don’t know how much the price of the 2023 Ram 1500 EV is yet. Sometime next year, we’ll know more about how much each trim level costs. Besides, it will be interesting to see what features are standard and what are extra.
Reports say the Ford F-150 Lightning will start at $42,000, so we think the electric Ram 1500 will start at $45,000 or slightly higher than that. As for when this model will be out in 2023, it could be the 2024MY, which is a very likely outcome.
