The 2023 Lincoln Blackwood is not an official model at the moment, but it is an intriguing concept. This model was only available for a year, at the beginning of the 2000s. The Blackwood model, designed by the same person who created the renowned Ford Mustang and the Ford F-150 truck, was something special. It was a crew cab pickup with a spacious cabin and plenty of luxury inside it.
Essentially, the Blackwood model was a hauling and towing truck for customers who couldn’t live without true luxury. Now, the Blackwood is said to be making a comeback, borrowing heavily from the luxury Navigator SUV. On the other hand, we don’t know if this is just another rumor or if Lincoln truly prepares a new pickup truck.
Lincoln Blackwood Exterior Design
The new 2023 Lincoln Blackwood may make quite a stir in the truck industry. Many people believe that Lincoln has been designing new pickup trucks for years. Ford manufactures trucks, while Lincoln is a luxury sub-brand that focuses on modern SUVs and crossovers. Aside from the Blackwood model, the Lincoln Mark LT was the manufacturer’s only pickup truck. There have been numerous reports that the 2023 Lincoln Blackwood will be powered by the same engine as the Navigator SUV. We just found out that this could be the case! This SUV is powered by a 450-horsepower 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. The Blackwood would be equipped with the same 10-speed automatic transmission as the SUV model.
However, because this model has yet to be officially released, we don’t know how much fuel it will consume. The Lincoln Navigator SUV gets 21 mpg on the highway, thus the Blackwood truck will most likely receive somewhat lower ratings.
