The famous Wrangler SUV’s fifth generation is still quite appealing. And the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Magneto electric version is set to grab even more attention than the SUV. This is the next step in the SUV’s growth. As you know, Gladiator is a true off-road specialist. The manufacturer is now venturing into a new market. After the 4xe hybrid variant, the next step is the all-electric Magneto model. However, the electric pickup capable of off-roading represents a completely new dimension for all automakers. Jeep is ready to put Tesla, Ford, and others to the test.
Overall, the 2023 Jeep Gladiator will remain one of the most popular mid-size trucks in the United States. It’s difficult to imagine any other vehicle outperforming this one at off-roading. Magneto is eagerly anticipated, but the competition is not backing down. As you know, Ford is introducing the all-new Bronco SUV, a model that will directly rival the new Wrangler. However, Bronco will not offer all-electric power in the next year or two. Jeep is about to offer electric powertrain on both Wrangler SUV and Gladiator pickup.
Jeep Gladiator Magneto Driving Range and Power
According to the latest reports, the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Magneto will reach 60 mph in about five seconds. Some analysts believe that a manual transmission will be available as well, but we think this is unlikely. The all-electric Magneto model will be based on the STLA Frame platform (designed for electric pickup trucks) and will have a range of around 310 miles.
To power an 800-volt system on the Gladiator Magneto, Jeep used a custom-built axial flux electric motor that spins at 6,000 rpm and four battery packs with a total capacity of 70 kWh. Another possibility is the transmission with regen available during clutch engagement. The gasoline-powered Gladiator produces 285 horsepower and a torque of 275 lb-ft. The Gladiator Magneto, on the other hand, will deliver even better results. This means the Magneto model will be the most powerful Gladiator ever.
We don’t know that much about the interior of the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Magneto. However, the Gladiator will introduce a new infotainment system and enhanced safety features on the inside. Aside from that, we can only expect increased standard equipment across the entire trim level selection. The cabin layout, as well as the design, remain.
It’s a functional cabin with plenty of space. The Ford Bronco is almost here, but Jeep is not in a hurry. After the Bronco SUV is officially released, new upholstery and larger displays will be introduced over the next year or two. We can assume that the Magneto will get a more premium cabin with larger displays and more standard features.
What About Exterior Design?
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator Magneto will not receive significant changes over the base trim level. This is due to the fact that the 2021MY already included considerable revisions. As a result, the 2023 Gladiator will receive minimal modifications. In terms of design, the off-road SUV will remain practical and conventional. There are two-door and four-door models available, as well as a removable windshield, roof, and doors. As you can see in the photos, Magneto will provide chunkier tires, unique exterior colors, and various blue accents. However, the shape and dimensions are basically the same.
2023 Jeep Gladiator Magneto Release Date, Price
The base Gladiator pickup starts at around $33,000. On the other hand, the all-electric 2023 Jeep Gladiator Magneto will cost over $45,000. The Magneto variant will hit the dealerships in the first quarter of 2023. Before that, we are waiting for the arrival of the Gladiator 4xe hybrid version.
