According to reports, the new high-performance 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R will not go into production next year. According to the latest spy images, the forthcoming model appears to be more aggressive than the standard Raptor. Moreover, it will most likely be powered by Ford’s supercharged 5.2-liter V8 Predator.
If you’re unfamiliar, this engine powers the Mustang Shelby GT500. This engine is quite powerful, producing 760 horsepower. However, other reports indicate that the new R version will have around 750 horsepower. Without further ado, let’s see what we know about this brand-new model.
F-150 Raptor R Spy Shots
We do not anticipate significant design differences between the standard Raptor and the R version. There are some spy pictures available, and the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R does not appear to be much different from the Raptor. To begin, the revised model features a five-link rear suspension, extended trailing arms, and a unique rod. As a result, it can withstand bumps considerably more easily than the standard model. Additionally, it is equipped with Fox shocks using new coil springs.
Blue Oval manufacturer says the configuration features 14 inches of front suspension travel and 15 inches of rear suspension travel. Compared to the standard Raptor, the R version features a significantly larger hood, fascia, and somewhat redesigned tailgate. Of course, the complete design is even more aggressive and sportier.

Interior Upgrades
The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R will offer a sportier interior than the cabin of the standard Raptor model. Notably, it will be spacious and modern, with orange highlights reminiscent of the Mustang Shelby GT500. It will also have the same carbon-fiber treatment and new paddle shifters.
Tech-wise, we believe the high-performance Raptor will include a new infotainment system and significantly more supportive seats. Additionally, we expect to see improved safety ratings and more standard features.

Raptor R Will Produce Over 700 Horses
Despite all exterior and interior upgrades, the engine is the highlight of the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R. The planned high-performance pickup truck will almost certainly be powered by the same engine as the Mustang Shelby GT500. As you are undoubtedly aware, this engine is one of the most powerful in the class, producing 760 horsepower. However, this Raptor R edition will make slightly less than that.
Many reliable reports are predicting an output between 720 hp and 750 hp. In addition to the mechanical enhancements over the standard model, the R one will have an upgraded suspension and bigger trailing arms. The current Raptor is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine that produces 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft, which is much less than the Ram TRX’s 700 horsepower. However, it seems like the Raptor R is the model that will directly rival the famous Rebel TRX truck.

2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R Price and Release Date
The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R is a high-performance model that will appear far more aggressive than the basic Raptor. Regrettably, there is still a great deal of mystery regarding this awesome model. As previously stated, production of the new model will begin at some point next year.
Pricing is not available at the moment, but we estimate the R edition to cost around $60,000 or slightly above that.
