It seems like Chevrolet has no plans to stop. Besides the new all-electric Silverado, the fans will be very excited about the new 2023 Chevy Silverado SS. The Super Sport package is coming back, according to the most recent reports. Once a popular package, the SS variant wasn’t on sale for some time. Reportedly, that is about to change.

This is an interesting topic, but don’t get too excited. The 2023 Chevy Silverado SS will not introduce a new engine option. Instead, this version will come with a standard 6.2-liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower. We don’t expect this engine to be re-tuned or to gain a supercharger.
The Super Sport model is about sportiness, not performance. A 10-speed automatic transmission will come as standard, along with the AWD system. Some reports are saying that the upcoming Silverado EV will also offer an SS package, but this is far from an official at the moment.

It is impossible to predict the price of the 2023 Chevy Silverado SS. However, if the base model starts at $33,000, the SS package won’t cost above $40k. The sales will begin later in 2022 and we are waiting to hear more official info.
