A lot of people said last year that the 2023 Chevy Cheyenne will arrive this fall. Finally, we got our first look at renderings of the new truck. In case you didn’t know, General Motors applied for a trademark for the name “Cheyenne” two years ago. Since then, this model has been rumored a few times.
This is how it worked: In 2003, the first-ever Cheyenne concept was shown at the North American International Auto Show. At the time, it was one of the most promising pickups around. Unfortunately, this model didn’t get made, but many reports say it will begin with production anytime soon.
Chevy Cheyenne Rendered
The first renderings have given us a better idea of what the 203 Chevy Cheyenne might look like. The styling is beautiful, we agree, and it’s very different from anything else. Like the Silverado model, the Chevy Cheyenne has a huge grille and modern LED headlights.
White stripes, which aren’t very common on today’s pickup trucks, are the weirdest thing about the model that was drawn. Besides, everything else is the same as on the new Silverado, including the same rear section with a nice-looking taillight and modern tailgate.
Interior design is still a huge mystery, even though we’ve seen renderings of the exterior design. General Motors probably make it look like the Silverado and Sierra trucks, just like they do with their crossovers and SUVs. In general, we think the 2023 Chevy Cheyenne will have a lot in common with the Sierra and Silverado trucks.
There is a big 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster that is the main thing that Chevrolet has to offer you. Leather seats, open-pore wood trim, and a Bose premium audio system are found in the higher-end trim levels made by this company. Lastly, the Super Cruise system should be available, but only in the most premium variant.
If you buy the new 2023 Chevy Cheyenne, you’ll almost certainly get a Chevy Silverado engine under the hood, too. The 6.2-liter V8 engine is what most people think it will have. It has 420 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. There are also a few other things you can get with the current Silverado. The base model comes with a powerful 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder, developing up to 310 hp. With 355 horsepower, there is also an even more powerful 5.3-liter V8.
It’s also likely that the new Silverado will have a diesel engine. The diesel powertrain under the Silverado is a 3.0-liter turbo-six that makes 277 horsepower. This is the most likely outcome for the new Cheyenne model, as developing a completely new engine is too expensive.
2023 Chevy Cheyenne Coming Out Later This Year
The forthcoming 2023 Chevy Cheyenne should hit the dealerships later in 2022. Based on rumors, the new model could be based on the same platform as the famous Silverado truck. It could also have a similar or the same engine lineup. A couple of rumors are predicting a price that starts between $30,000 and $35,000.
