2023 Silverado 1500 ZR2 Exterior Upgrades
The Silverado pickup will gain numerous updates, including the ZR2 version. Thanks to that, the new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 will be better than ever before. Styling-wise, this model will feature slimmer headlights and a larger grille. Generally, Silverado wears a design that looks closer to the full-size Tahoe SUV. Moreover, both models are using the same architecture. It is a GMT 31XX platform.
However, the manufacturer will introduce an updated architecture referred to as 31XX-2. We also expect to see a lot of mechanical upgrades. This means the ZR2 truck will arrive with new dampers and improved suspension. Lastly, we expect to see new exterior paints, new tires, and possibly a more aggressive design.

Furthermore, numerous sources indicate that the supercharged powerplant is a direct response to Ram’s 702-horsepower and Ford’s 760-horsepower engines. The truth, however, is rather different.
The Silverado ZR2 truck will be powered by the same 6.2-liter V8 engine that is already offered. It has 420 horsepower, which is much less than the mentioned engines. Furthermore, the strong V8 produces 460 lb-ft of torque. As a result, the Silverado ZR2 version will not be as competitive as some reports indicate.
2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 Release Date and Price
The upcoming 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 truck will arrive at a slightly higher price. The current model is available for $65,000. This off-road variant is available since 2017. According to GM, around 60% of Silverado’s sales are off-road-oriented versions. That also includes the Z71 and Trail Boss variants.
