Powerful V6 Engine

As we already said, the 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-X will offer a single powertrain option. It is a potent 3.8-liter V6 engine with 310 horsepower. Many fans hoped to see a diesel engine but that won’t happen. This proven V6 unit comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The shifting is smooth and the ride comfort is great.

A two-wheel-drive setup is available as standard and Pro-X comes with beefier shocks. On the other hand, the Pro-4X model offers a four-wheel-drive system. Lastly, Pro-X Frontier comes with a Dana rear axle, which will improve the truck’s off-road capability.

2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-X Release Date, Price

The price of the brand-new 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-X will cost $36,000. To compare, base model starts at around $28,000 and Pro-4X version $39,000. The sales will begin later in 2021. However, this truck could arrive in the first quarter of 2022 if the situation with pandemic continues. This new pickup truck will rival Toyota Tacoma and its off-road variants.
