2022 F-150 EV Will Debut in 2022
We already wrote about new 2022 Ford F-150 EV and its possible specs. Now, we are sticking to info that matters, and that is official. The Blue Oval manufacturer announced the all-electric variant for some point in 2022, most likely for mid-2022. It is a battery-electric version with a lifetime cost of ownership. This model will include a large front trunk or “frunk”, which is a new thing in the automotive industry. The 2021 GMC Hummer is in the works too, along with the 2021 Rivian R1T truck.
Moreover, Tesla Cybertruck will be a tough competitor as well. Ford sells over 800,000 F-Series trucks a year, which is impressive. It is a segment-leading figures that generated almost $42 billion in revenue for 2019. Ford announced new details about the arriving F-150 gasoline and diesel-powered models. The sales will begin this November, and everything is a part of Ford’s $700 million investment.

What About F-150 Hybrid
While the 2022 Ford F-150 EV is still a mystery, we know a couple of things about the F-150 Hybrid model. A few days ago, a YouTube video went viral. The video is about the race between new Ram 1500 Hybrid that uses the brand’s famous eTorque hybrid system and new F-150 Hybrid variant. It is clear as day that Ram can’t compete with Ford’s advanced hybrid technology at the moment. Ram 1500 uses a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 in combination with the eTorque system.
It produces 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. Its towing capacity is rated at 11,320. We can see in the video that F-150 Hybrid outperforms Ram’s pickup with ease. Ford offers a 3.5-liter PowerBoost engine with a 37-kilowatt electric motor and a 1.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Official specs are not available yet, but Ford promised towing capacity of more than 12,000 pounds. One thing is certain, the F-150 Hybrid is quicker than Ram 1500 Hybrid.
