2022 Ford F-150 Electric to Arrive in a 24-Month Time

Finally, Ford will electrify its best-selling model. The 2022 Ford F-150 Electric will go on sale next year. Before that, Blue Oval will deliver F-150 with a gasoline-electric hybrid system. Shortly after that, we should expect the battery-electric version that could also arrive under the name “Everglades.”

Name is just a rumor at this moment, but some other details are sure to happen. Ford will also work on further design changes and interior updates. Without any doubt, the new F-150 Electric will cause a huge splash in the automotive industry.

2022 F-150 Electric Spied

A couple of weeks ago, the first batch of the spy photos emerged online. Many experts are convinced that we are looking at the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Electric. Interestingly, but the prototype does not depart from the regular and gasoline-powered F-150 pickup truck. The only difference is the place for the plugin. Moreover, it seems like the electric version will get a higher ride.

It makes perfect sense as the F-150 Electric needs to accommodate batteries underneath the cab. While it is too early to discuss about design, Ford will surely deliver various exterior updates. We can’t wait to see the final product but we don’t expect a significant depart from the regular F-150 pickup.

Interior Improvements

At this point, we don’t know that much about interior design. New 2022 Ford F-150 Electric will surely arrive as an improvement over the current F-150 gasoline-powered pickup truck. That means Blue Oval will look to target or maintain the dominance in terms of tech. F-150 Electric will represent one of the most modern vehicles in the world.

With that in mind, this model will get larger displays and various tech goodies. On top of that, that includes the newest driver-assistance features and a new generation of the infotainment system. Most likely, Ford will reduce the number of physical buttons inside the cabin. As for the rest of the details, we’ll have to wait for the manufacturer to release closer info.

Driving Range, Towing Capacity

While we are waiting for the official specs, the new 2022 Ford F-150 Electric will undoubtedly focus on the truck’s tradition of towing and hauling.  Ford decided to preview a new model by showing it pulling a train full of other F-150 models. The pulling ability won’t be that much powerful, but F-150 Electric will surely match the hybrid version with 12,000 pounds of towing capacity.

Don’t be surprised if the electric version outperforms every other variant of the F-150 pickup truck. Ford will surely place motors at each axle, and pickup’s driving range will start at 200 miles. Remember, Blue Oval manufacturer invested in Rivian and its R1T truck with an estimated driving range of 400 miles on a full charge.

2022 Ford F-150 Electric Price and Release Date

The price is not available yet, but even the cheapest variant will surely cost significantly more than the gasoline model. The forthcoming 2022 Ford F-150 Electric will go on sale in mid-2021. The latest reports are even suggesting the “Everglades” nameplate for this model. However, this is just pure speculation at the moment. Ford will release more details closer to the model’s reveal.
