Last year, the FCA brings a redesign to the lineup of the heavy-duty trucks. Therefore, design-wise 2021 Ram 2500/3500 HD will remain pretty much the same in the following years. One of the highlights of the new model is the towing capacity, Ram 2500/3500 towing is rated at 35,000 lbs. But, that rating is achievable is you choose the Dually variant. However, it’s not going to be the best result in the class, since the Silverado 3500 can haul slightly more.
On the other hand, Ford F-350 has a towing capacity rating of 35,570 pounds. Furthermore, this particular segment becoming very interesting in the recent period of time. So, the Ram truck must provide something special, to stay competitive on the growing market. Well, there will be a lot of options, that’s for sure. You can expect two powerful engines (petrol and diesel version), and several trim levels.
Moreover, the Ram 3500 Dually will add some pretty exclusive features to the lineup. Still, there’s plenty of details that are still unknown. We must wait for the official press release from the company to find more about the upcoming heavy-duty truck.

2021 Ram 2500/3500 HD Engine Options
Under the hood of the forthcoming 2021 Ram 2500/3500 HD truck will be a 6.4-liter V6 powertrain. The well-known Hemi engine will make 410 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, the engine will be linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission, that will send power to the rear wheels.
Of course, the 4WD system will be available as well. On the other hand, the turbodiesel 6.7-liter I6 engine delivers 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque. Also, a High-Output version of this unit produces 400 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque. The diesel unit comes with a 6-speed transmission.
2021 Ram 3500 Dually
The most powerful units in the heavy-duty segment are reserved for the Dually versions. However, this configuration won’t be available for 2021 Ram 2500, just for the 3500 HD. Moreover, a dual-rear-wheel setup allows for better traction and balance.
But, the more important is that the dually truck will provide maximum towing capacity. With the upgrade, the truck will be able to tow 35,100 lbs. Still, even with this upgrade, that’s below the Silverado and Ford F-360 ratings.

2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon
Besides the Dually truck, the 2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon will be equally interesting as well. The lighter Power Wagon is only available with the Ram 2500. This package brings better ground clearance, and improved off-road performances.
Also, you’ll find a unique suspension, and sway bars. On top of that, Power Wagon offers unique interior tech features, such as a 360-degree camera, that comes handy in off-road adventures.

2021 Ram 2500/3500 HD Prices
The most affordable version of the upcoming 2021 Ram 2500/3500 HD comes with a price tag of $34,000. Same as the other Ram’s model, this one starts with the Tradesman trim as well. Furthermore, the Power Wagon adds $20,000 to the starting price, with exclusive accessories and features.
The turbodiesel cost $10,000 more than the Power Wagon, while the diesel High-Output variant adds around $12,000 to the price. On the other hand, the dual-rear-wheel setup costs an extra $1,500. But it requires some additional upgrades. So, all in all, the fully loaded 2021 Ram 2500/3500 HD will be close to $80,000 range.
