The upcoming 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX should be the highlight of the pickup truck segment next year. The reason is its legendary Hellcat engine with 700 horsepower. Moreover, a few days ago we’ve seen leaked interior photos. The same images are showing some significant upgrades over the regular Ram 1500 pickup. The same Hellcat output can be found under the hood of Dodge Charger and Challenger models.
On top of that, Jeep Grand Cherokee is available with the very same engine. Now, Rebel TRX truck is the next model in line so expect astonishing performances. The exterior design will look very mean and aggressive. The interior should provide a high level of comfort and the cabin will be surprisingly quiet.
2021 Ram Rebel TRX Exterior Design
The exterior design will look like the concept. However, some parts will surely depart from the concept, but not in a drastic manner. The 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX will provide an aggressive appearance and a mean-looking front fascia. Rebel TRX version adds more muscles but it is based on the regular Ram 1500 pickup, logically. And just like the Ford Raptor, TRX truck will also offer enlarged exterior features.
That includes both headlights and taillights. Moreover, the grille is wider and it features larger openings. Thanks to that, airflow and engine cooling have been improved. Even the wheels and tires are larger than on the base model. Lastly, Rebel TRX will be wider for better stability and better off-roading experience.
Interior Details Leaked Online
A few days ago, a leak in a YouTube video caught out attention. This video showed the images of the 2021 Ram Rebel TRX, or its interior to be precise. Thanks to that, we’ve seen the tachometer with the redline at 6,400 RPM. That is the confirmation of the Hellcat engine and both Charger and Challenger are featuring the same layout. One icon shows the shock absorber so expect significant improvements in terms of steering and suspension.
Control panes look unique and the rotary dial is gone. Instead, Rebel TRX will use a conventional shifter. The photos are showing the same interior layout as the regular Ram 1500 and numerous driving modes. The interior will be based on Android and this truck will offer a new Uconnect5 infotainment system.
Engine Specifications
As we said, the legendary Hellcat engine is finally here. The upcoming 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX will use this impressive 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 707 horsepower. Interestingly, Ram fitted Hellcat into an existing platform. However, with such a great power comes beefier suspension with eight-lug wheels.
In terms of torque, Rebel TRX will provide 650 lb-ft. To compare, its main rival is Ford Raptor that can produce 450 horses and 510 lb-ft of torque. It is clear who will take the win in terms of performances. We think Raptor is an impressive truck but Rebel TRX is on a completely new level.
2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX Price and Release Date
The price of the new model is not available yet. However, we should expect for new 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX will cost around $60,000 or slightly above that. FCA will release its off-road high-performance truck later in 2020.
