The upcoming 2021 Ford Super Duty is perhaps the most popular heavy-duty lineup in the United States. Ford offers F-250, F-350, and F-450 variants all three trucks are available in various trim levels. Moreover, numerous cab configurations and plenty of optional equipment and packages are making these models even more customizable.
The Blue Oval manufacturer prepared a couple of novelties for 2021. However, these upgrades are far from redesign or anything similar. Instead, the customers should expect mid-cycle refreshments. However, the Tremor package is new and it will become an instant hit without any doubts. Besides that, the interior will gain a couple of high-tech upgrades while Ford could also improve performances.
2021 Super Duty Exterior Changes
In terms of design, the new 2021 Ford Super Duty will arrive with a couple of improvements. Visually, the truck should remain. The changes are minor and some of them are barely visible. However, the front fascia will host a redesigned bumper and larger grille. The goal is to provide better airflow and engine cooling.
The headlamps are most likely intact, while the rear part comes with more or less the same updates. On top of that, tailgate seems to be different according to the latest spy photos. Basically, Ford enlarged some of the exterior features and nothing is brand-new. Lastly, Blue Oval could introduce more equipment and maybe new exterior paint.
A similar story continues inside the cabin. New 2021 Ford Super Duty will introduce a new infotainment system and more driver-assistance features. As for the interior design, nothing will change. This comes as a surprise after the Chevrolet announced interior overhaul for most of its pickups and trucks. Still, a new infotainment system will provide easier use and simpler menus.
Super Duty lineup will continue to deliver a high level of comfort and a spacious cabin. Moreover, the interior is very practical, no matter which cab setup you opt for. Ford will offer some really premium features that are standard on the higher-grade trim levels.
Gasoline and Diesel Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2021 Ford Super Duty will offer three engine options. Two gasoline engines are available and one of them is a relatively new 7.3-liter V8. This engine will provide class-leading performance, according to Ford. Powerful V8 generates 430 horses and 475 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, it will use Ford’s newest 10-speed automatic transmission. The second option is a known 6.2-liter V8 that is standard engine once again.
Still, a 6.7-liter turbodiesel will remain the most popular option among the customers. This engine can produce 450 horsepower and up to 1050 lb-ft of torque. The manufacturer promised more torque for 2021 so Super Duty will tow slightly over 35,000 pounds. If you want the best possible variant for towing, F-350 dually equipped with diesel is the answer.
2021 Ford Super Duty Release Date and Price
The all-new 2021 Ford Super Duty will now cost $35,000 which is a small jump in price. We’d recommend a new Tremor off-road package that is around $2,000 which is more than an affordable offer. Blue Oval will release its new heavy-duty lineup later in 2020, most likely this fall.
