Ford introduced the brand-new F-600 truck this year. It is the brand’s newest heavy-duty member, and it will deliver capability and reliability. While the performances are great, the 2020 model lacked one thing, a diesel powertrain. Luckily, Blue Oval confirmed the diesel engine for 2021 Ford F-600. It is a must for every heavy-duty truck nowadays.
As its name suggests, F-600 will slot between F-550 and F-650 models. Under the hood, Ford will offer an impressive 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 gasoline engine. However, the highlight of the 2021 F-600 is a well-known 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel powertrain. Here’s everything we know about the arriving truck.

Ford F-600 Facelift
A lot of people are confused because the 2021 Ford F-600 offers the capability of a medium-duty truck. However, its body can be fitted in a Super Duty lineup. According to Blue Oval, F-600 offers the same body and chassis as the F-550, at least in terms of size. However, F-600 can tow more, and it looks tougher.
On top of that, the F-600 truck comes with more weight and larger 19.5-inch wheels and tires. Styling is recognizable, and F-600 wears the same design language as the rest of the lineup. The truck looks modern and aggressive at the same time. However, some parts are looking very subtle, including the front fascia with handsome LED headlights.

Interior Changes
The interior of the 2021 Ford F-600 also looks modern and stylish. More importantly, the list of standard equipment is longer than before, and new driver-assistance aids are available. Thanks to that, the truck is not only more modern but also safer. Blue Oval offers standard hill start assist and traction control systems.
On the other hand, features such as adaptive cruise control, stability control, and lane departure warning are optional. Comfort is great, but Ford won’t improve this category in 2021. Furthermore, things such as an 8-inch touchscreen and SYNC3 infotainment system will remain intact.

Engine Specs, Towing Capacity
Ford introduced the F-600 model this year with a 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 gasoline engine. This powertrain is currently the only choice you can get. However, the 2021 Ford F-600 truck will get a diesel engine. It is a familiar and reliable 6.7-liter V8 Power Stroke diesel. This engine will produce 330 horsepower and over 1000 lb-ft of torque. Ford is constantly improving its turbodiesel powertrain, but exact torque figures are not available yet.
That means we don’t know its towing capacity at the moment. The arriving F-600 truck will deploy a TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission. As for the Godzilla V8, it delivers 350 hp and up to 470 lb-ft of twisting power. Lastly, there is a less powerful “Economy Tune” that generates 50 fewer horses, but it delivers improved fuel efficiency.
2021 Ford F-600 Price and Release Date
New 2021 Ford F-600 started with the production last month at the Ford’s Ohio plant. The price will start at around $44,000, and diesel will become available at about $50,000. The COVID-19 outbreak could reschedule this model. If everything goes according to plan, we will see a new F-600 pickup truck in the first quarter of 2021.
